Restoration of a German trade violin

Somehow I ended up with violins I traded for a mandolin.  Some of these needed some serious work to get them to work as violins again.  The one on the right I took the top off and regraduated the thicknesses of its belly and back.  I also added a new fingerboard and nut, as well as set up a new violin bridge and added Pirastro Tonica strings.

All up it is much louder with amore balanced tone, not quite a Stradivarius, but better than it was in terms of tone and playability.
