Gellie #3 mandolin: Sold to a mandolin player in Brazil
This mandolin is sold to a customer in Brazil.
This was my first attempt at a F-4 mandolin. It has a really bright open sound across all the strings. I graduated the top to get more projection and tone out of the instrument. Thanks to Jonathan McClanahan for advice on the top graduations.
I created a reddish-brown colour throughout the instrument to emulate the 1920s Gibson F-4s.
They take a long time to make but they are are worth it in the end.
